David Bretton was unable to attend past BACD Educational Meetings due to the night-time format.
The switch to a day-time format led the Huddersfield-based dentist to participate in July’s meeting, “A-Z Management of a Complex Case”, in Manchester.
“The day format allows the speaker to go into depth on their topic, with plenty of learning opportunities and time for discussion. One of the speakers in Manchester was Ian Buckle, and I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to hear someone of his level speak. The speakers aimed to provide interactive presentations and encourage us to discuss the cases rather than just present the ‘right answer’ to us, which meant the content was absorbed on a much deeper level.
“Would I attend more BACD Educational Meetings in the future? That’s a no-brainer: I feel that BACD membership is absolutely essential for all dentists who wish to get involved in any form of cosmetic dentistry. This is particularly true for younger dentists who have little to no grounding in cosmetic dentistry from their undergraduate training. The quality of the speakers is exceptional and the regional educational meetings are great value for money!”
