Simplyhealth Professionals announces new Flexible Payment Plan for elective treatments

Tooth whitening, smile makeovers, dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments, orthodontics, in fact just about anything patients might ask for is now covered by the new Simplyhealth Professionals Flexible Payment Plan (FPP).

Offered to both existing Denplan members and other dental professionals without the need for membership – the new FPP initiative means patients can choose from the range of elective or high-end treatments offered by the dental practice and then select the affordable payment plan that works best for their finances.

Designed to be simple to use the payment plan provides complete flexibility; from a monthly plan for ongoing treatments such as anti-wrinkle therapy and dermal fillers, to a one-off, three- to 10-month plan for treatments such as dental implants or tooth straightening.

Simplyhealth Professionals’ sales and Marketing Director Sandy Brown explained the thinking behind the new development: “Prevention remains at the heart of the Simplyhealth Professionals’ service plan, but thanks to our close relationship with the dental profession we enjoy a deep understanding of the changing needs and wants of their patients.

"We wanted to be able to offer all dentists greater flexibility and choice for their patients beyond traditional routine dental treatments. Our new Flexible Payment Plans give dentists the freedom to provide exactly what their patients ask for, and help their patients spread the cost of treatment. Because the plans can be used for non-dental treatments such as facial aesthetics, it opens up a wider patient market for practices.

“There is a growing trend towards patients requesting more elective treatments such as facial aesthetics, teeth straightening, and whitening, things that existing Denplan payment systems don’t cover. However, although the desire for treatment is there the budget often isn’t. The new Flexible Payment Plan addresses that need. It maximises potential financial benefits available to the practice while also providing greater access to more aesthetic treatment benefits for patients. It truly is a win-win offering – and so simple to set up.

The FPP process begins when the dentist has been set up on the FPP portal, which is done for them by their FPP advisor. Once the dentist has their log-in details and completed their training – a brief process over the phone, there is practically zero learning curve – they are ready to start offering the new treatment plan.
