The Canon 3D printing team has issued an invitation for dental technicians, whether 3D first-timers or experts, to attend its specialist seminars
Canon’s Business Group Manager, Dominic Fahy, is proud to be to be a 3D entrepreneur. “Canon’s 3D systems,” he says, “are based around its digital technical knowhow and camera technology. It should come as no surprise to learn that Canon has quickly become one of the leaders in the field.”
Experts such as Sav Jeyendran (above) are keen to invite both newcomers and experienced users in the 3D field to Canon’s European Presentation Centre in Uxbridge for a series of seminars. Sav explained, “Visitors will be able to learn more about the technology − see machines in action and get involved in discussions about the world of possibilities opening up in the 3D arena.
“With the creation of new biocompatible printing materials 3D printing will become an essential tool in many fields of 21st century healthcare. It is already used in pre-implant dental model making for placement guides and scan models for crowns and bridges. Precision is key to a successful dental restoration outcome and precision is also at the heart of Canon’s manufacturing ethic. You will have to come to Uxbridge to see for yourselves.”
The seminars take place throughout the year:
• 6th May 2016
• 14th July 2016
• 16th October 2016
